Abstract: This paper deals with the adaptability to brackish water of some fishes, including mullet (Mugil so-iuy), silver carp (Hypophthalmichthys molitrix), bighead (Aristi-chthys nobilis), grass carp (Ctenopharyngodon idellus), carp (Cyprinus carpio), tench (Tinca tinca), crucian carp (Carassius auratus), the offspring of carp × crucian carpr huang-yu (Gymnocypris przewalskii przewalskii), orfe (Leuciscus waleckii), stone moroko (Pseudorasbora parva), and Nemachilus dalacius.
