Abstract:
The non-specific immune functions were studied among five populations of soft-shelled turtle from Yellow River,Huai River,Dongting Lake,Poyang Lake and Taihu Lake from five aspects--1) the total amount of complement, 2) the percentage of erythrocyte C3b receptor rosette, 3) the percentage of erythrocyte native immune adhering tumor cell rosette, 4)the percentage of erythrocyte active rosette(EaR)of T lymphocyte and 5)the activity of leukocyte phagocyte The major results were:(1) There were no significant difference on the total amount of complement and the percentage of erythrocyte native immune adhering tumor cell rosette among the five populations of soft-shelled turtle (F3b receptor rosette,Yellow River population was significantly higher than that of Poyang Lake population and Taihu Lake population(PHuai River population>Dongting Lake population>Poyang Lake population>Taihu Lake population.(3) On the percentage of EaR of T lymphocyte, Yellow River population was significantly higher than that of Poyang Lake population(P0.01),there was no significant difference among other populations(P>0.05).The order of EaR percentage was Yellow River population>Huai River population>Dongting Lake popuation>Poyang lake population>Taihu Lake population.(4) On the activity of leukocyte phagocyte, there was no significant difference between Huai River population and Poyang Lake population(P>0.05),while there was highly significant defference among other populations(F>0.01).The order of activity was Yellow River population>Dongting Lake population>Huai River population>Poyang Lake population>Taihu Lake population. From above all,it could be concluded that Yellow River population was the highest one on non-specific immune functions while Taihu Lake population was the lowest one.
