Taking the Liulihe Wetland Park in Fangshan District in Beijing as an example, aiming at the shortage of water resources, serious water pollution, water ecological degradation, the monotonous landscapes and damaged habitats and so on, we take overall consideration of region-ecological environment features and the historical and cultural background, in order to achieve a healthy and stable improvement of water environment and ecology, and make the water landscape coordinated. Based on the comprehensive ecological management concept of "trinity +" of water resources, water ecology, water environment and water landscape, a series of key technologies suitable for regional environmental characteristics are adopted, such as water ecological corridor connectivity, eco-hydrological regulation, constructed wetland, construction of water ecosystem, reconstruction of ecological landscape and ecological restoration of biological habitat. Through engineering implementation, we gradually achieve river wetland system interconnection, lakes’ water-environment quality improvement and recovery of water ecological function, and create the water landscape, build an urban wetland park, which combines hydrological regulation, biodiversity conservation, water purification, scientific education and entertainment as one. The ecological restoration effect of the wetland park is remarkable, which propels the development of the surrounding industries of the wetland park, and plays an important role in coordinating the strategic needs of wetland protection and urban development. The ecological restoration scheme of wetland park can also provide reference for the ecological restoration of northern wetland park.
