The various parameters and relationships between them in the operation of constant-flow diluter were analysed theoretically, based on the cardinal principles of the diluter. Methods were proposed for the calculation of dilution factor, serial concentration, flow rate and time for partial replacement of solution in test tanks. In addition, a rationalized procedure for the operation of the serial diluter was recommended.
