  • The present paper deals with some epizoic ciliates on various aquatic animals, such as larvae and adults of insects, crustaceans, molluscs and amphibians (tadpole). Spe cimens were collected from the Lake Donghu of Wuhan and its neighbouring regions. 6 new species and 2 new subspecies belonging to Epistylidae and Vorticellidae are desc ribed.
