  • Fifteen species of parasitic protozoa (not including the species of Spo-rozoa) have been recorded from 254 individuals of the Chine e pond fish, Ctenopharyngodon idellus. The seven known species are Cryptobia branchialis Nie, Costia necatrix (Honneguy), Ichthyophthirius multifiliis Fauquet, Chi-lodonella cyprini Moroff, Glaucoma pyriformis Schew, Trichodina pediculus Mueller and T. bulbosa Davis.
