Abstract
The growth of the Anabaena sp. HB1017 culture was stimulated by exogenous glucose in the high light intensity(7000 lx), as well as in the low light intensity (less than 800 lx). The growth rate kept increased in the presence of glucose ranged from 5mmol/L to 20mmol/L,and light intensity ranged from 800lx to 7000lx. By comparison, the mixotrophic growth rate was much higher than the photoautotrophic and the exponential phase elongated in the mixotrophic culture. Under same condition, it was evident that the mixotrophic culture of Anabaena sp. HB1017 produced much more biomass than that of the photoautotrophic culture.
