EFFECT OF DIETARY PROTEIN LEVELS ON GROWTH PERFORMANCE AND BODY COMPOSITION OF JADE PERCH SCORTUM BARCOO

  • The effects of dietary protein levels on growth performance and body composition of jade perch were investigated by using white fishmeal as a protein source in pellet feeds.105 jade perch with initial body weight 104.13±0.46g was used in 8-week growth trial.All the test fish were divided into 5 groups with triplicates,which were cultured in 15 concrete tanks at 24±1℃ and fed 5 isoenergic diets containing different protein levels(23.64%,28.45%,33.50%,37.04%,41.62%).The results showed that increase weight rate at 33.50%dietary protein was the highest,which were very significantly (P0.05).
