BIOCHEMICAL COMPOSITION, AMINO ACID AND FATTY ACID COMPOSITION IN JUVENILE OFMIICHTHYSMIIUY UNDER SHORT-TIME STARVATION

  • Food shortage is often a stress in natural environment to many fish species, caus ing growth retardation and even death.H owever, response to the stress differs in species. After the food becom e availab le again, they would re-ga in growth, which is called compensatory growth.Previous studies showed that compensatory growth could significant mi pact on biochemical composition, am ino acid and fatty acid composition. The main focus study reports of Miichthy smiiuy were that the artificial controlled techno logical research of gonad development, embryos and early larvae occurrence, brood-stock culture and artificial propagation, environm ental toxicology, and so on.To date, there had no research reports about the fish hunger phys iological ecology. The effects of short-time starvation on biochemical com pos ition, am ino acid and fatty ac id composition in the early breaded juvenile of Miichthy smiiuy was researched at(22±1)℃.The early breaded juveniles were divided into six groups(S0, S3, S6, S9, S12 and S15), which were starved for 0, 3, 6, 9, 12 and 15d respectively. The results show ed that themusclem oisture and ash in difference groups were significant difference compared with S0(p n- 6 PUFA> n-3 PUFA.The main amino acid of S0 was A spartic acid, G lutamic acid, M et, Leucine, arg inine and Lysine. After several different short-time starvations, both the total and the essential am ino acid reduced significantly, which were different with S0 group(p< 0.05).But there was insignificantly along with S9, S12 and S151
