Abstract
The feeding intensity of juveniles of the Northem snakehead Channa argus was influenced by light intensity. Under the strong light of 103lx, the feeding intensity was relatively weak, bu strong under the weak light of 10-3lx. The feeding intensity increased with the continuous weakening of light intensity. The feeding rate of the juveniles varied with light intensity. The highest feeding rate was observed under 10-3lx, an optimum illumination found for the feeding. The feeding rate decreased with the feeding time. The feeding dynamics of the juveniles in different feeding conditions, that is, the curve of feeding dynamics, was similar in trends to the curves of deedingintensity and feeding rate.
