Abstract

C. vicinus can capture and eat all prey types provided. Predator prefers small-sized to large-sized zooplankton. Parts of prey attacked were head, dorsal and ventral parts of the body. Prey concentration water temperature, light intensity and different ratios of light and dark period were found to have significant influences on feeding of C. vicinus.
