ULTRASTRUCTURAL OBSERVATION ON THE EPITHELIUM OF INTESTINE IN SCHIZOTHORAX PRENANTI (TCHANG)

This paper presents the ultrastructural observations on the epithelium of intestine of Schizothorax prenanti(Tchang). The mucosal epithelium consists of absorptive cells,goblet cells, endocrine cells, lymphocytes and macrophages.Fine structures of these cells were observed in detail and the inter-relationship between the ultrastructure and their functions are discussed.
