Abstract
The community ecology of the torrentiai plants was investigated in a stream ofNorth Temperate from 1986 to 1991.Some community parameters such as speciescomposition, quantitative features, physiognomy, structure, distribution pattern,dyna-mics and function were Presented. The minimum area was determined as being 5m2 from the species-area curve. The ralationships between the natural height and theabsolute height of Ranunculus bungei was significantly correlated.Furthermore, the community exhibited a clear pattern of vertical stratification and horizontal mosaic. The phenological spectrum and biomass models were also established. In light ofthe resistance of the plant to interference, the reproductive strategies of the speciesagainst adverse conditions were discussed, and so was the Inland Kuroshio in rela-tion to its effect on the community.
