A SURVEY OF THE FISHERIES IN THE REGIONS OF THE TWO PROJECTED DAM-RESERVOIRS:THE TINGTZEKOW AND WUTU

These two projected dam-reservoirs are located in Szechwan Province,Western China. The dam for the Tingtzekow reservoir will be built across the upper reaches of the Kialing River,in the Tsanghsi District;it is one of the main tributaries of the Yangtze River,it flows from north to south and enters the Yangtze at Chungking.The submerged area of this reser- voir will cover 191 square Km.,to an average depth of 31 m.(maximum depth 100 m).
