PHYSICO-CHEMICAL CHARACTERISTICS OF TAIPING RESERVOIR

  • This paper summarizes water physicochemical chara cteristics from November,1985 to July,1986 in Taiping Reservoir.The results show e d:Taiping Reservoir has good water quality. Secchi transparency was high,pH val ue was 7.4,dissolved oxygen was rich,hardness was lower,total ionic amounts was l ower.The water type belongs to The contents of TH in water was 1.49mg/L.The cont ents of TP were 0.012mg/L.The N/P ratio was 124.2:1,which means that phosphorus was the major nutrient limiting biological productivity. There were marked seas onal changes inmost physicochemical components in the water.The differences of m ost physicochemical components were inconspicuous in horizontal and vertical di stributions.
