Abstract:
Experiments on principal parameters of population growth of five common freshwater rotifers were conducted at 32℃ by sestiblishing their life tables. The intrinsic rates of increase (h-1), net reproductivity (progeny number/ind.) and generation time (h) of experimented rotifers were: 0.091, 14.1 and 34.1 for Brachionus calyciflorus; 0.055, 6.9 and 38.4 for B.urceolaris; 0.035, 4.9 and 50.9 for B.angularis;0.038, 4.3 and 46.1 for Epiphanes brachionus and 0.017, 2.1 and 43.7 for B. Schizocerca respectively. It was shown that B. calyciflorus is the most productive one and promising as a species for industrialized cultivation.
